AWS Bedrock
Our cloud solutions are run on AWS with data centers in the US East region. Read our Privacy Policy for more. WProofreader AI assistant functionality is based on Amazon Bedrock foundational models, incl. Anthropic and other vendors. Read here about the Anthropic Responsible Disclosure Policy.
Data privacy
We do not collect user data in order to create a custom model. We collect only cases related to the Acceptable use policy violation, e.g. when the model’s outcome contains harmful or biased content, with the aim of eliminating the probability of such cases in the future. These cases are not used for model training either.
Self-hosted deployment
Our AI writing assistant can be deployed on the client's private AWS servers through API requests. The client requires an Amazon account with access to Bedrock, the platform hosting the models we use. The client needs to create an access key for an Amazon account with the necessary permissions, then set that as an environment variable on the application server. The application server uses that access key to interact with Bedrock.
Frequently asked questions
Is AI writing assistant available across all the WProofreader products and versions?
Yes. The AI writing assistant is supported in all WProofreader versions by default, incl. the standalone version under the Enterprise plan. Within the latter, the clients can access AI writing assistant via their personal accounts on the AWS Bedrock. The WProofreader free extension users have access to the limited version of AI writing assistant.
Is AI writing assistant enabled by default?
No, the AI writing assistant is disabled by default and must be manually activated in the settings in the WProofreader SDK version. The WProofreader extension users can enable or disable the extension via the UI settings.
Are there any usage limits for the AI writing assistant?
Yes, usage is limited by daily word or prompt quotas that depend on your subscription plan. When you reach your daily limit, the AI Writing Assistant feature is temporarily unavailable, but it doesn’t block the entire WProofreader integration. Quotas reset daily at 00:00 UTC. The WProofreader free extension users have access to the limited version of AI writing assistant.
Is the Al writing assistant included in the license or is there any extra cost?
The Al writing assistant is available within the WProofreader product. We don't charge for it additionally. However, you will have specific expenses in terms of using the Amazon Bedrock service.
Can I customize the prompts or add new ones?
The default prompts are manually crafted and tested for optimal results. Technically, you may adjust the existing prompts, but we cannot guarantee consistent performance if you do so. Adding entirely new prompts is not supported at this time, though we’re considering this option for future updates.
